Learning objectives and competencies
- Students can work independently on a research-related project on a current scientific research question in insurance and risk management;
- analyze and reflect on current developments in the insurance industry;
- can apply the theoretical knowledge and methods acquired previously and reflect on them critically;
- independently acquire new expert knowledge based on the latest research and practical applications;
- are able to present complex subject-related content clearly and in a manner appropriate to the target group, argue it in a professional discussion and present it in a written paper.
In the summer term 2025, the course takes place in collaboration with Prof. Randy Dumm, Ph.D., Director, The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance, University of South Florida.
