Details zur Prüfung
Module work as a portfolio exam (Modularbeit als Portfolioprüfung):
- Description of People Analytics or Automatization Use Case (based on a template plus a detailed written description/"manual"; approx. 6-8 pages) 
- Individual report about the practical implications of the topics of two invited speeches, incl. legal & ethical considerations (approx. 6 pages) After the final topics are assigned (deadline see PPT-document for the course), the exam is considered to have begun. If the portfolio is not submitted, the exam must be graded as failed

Learning Objectives (Professional Competencies)

The students are capable of independently performing the following professional tasks:

  • Analyzing and solving current practical challenges along the HR value chain using digital tools and modern organizational methods.
  • Understanding the interrelationships and interplay of topics in HR digitization (e.g., analytics or automation and ethics/law).
  • Exercising diligence and holistic thinking.

Social Competencies

  • Teamwork: Developing solutions to problems in teams.
  • Ability to lead discussions in a structured manner.

Professional and Methodological Competencies

  • Ability to apply and evaluate various solution principles and approaches (particularly digital tools).
  • Ability to systematically develop a professional topic according to academic standards (presentation/seminar or module paper).

Content

  • Technologies: Machine Learning and AI, VR/AR, RPA
  • Principles and methods of agile collaboration (SCRUM, Design Thinking, [digital] moderation and collaboration methods).
  • Selected use cases along the HR value chain:
    • HR Marketing, e.g., Augmented Writing, Active Sourcing, Chatbots
    • HR Planning & Deployment, e.g., Strategic Workforce Planning, RPA in HR planning & reporting
    • Performance Management, e.g., Sociometric Badges and network analysis, real-time feedback apps, RPA in payroll
    • HR Development, e.g., Learning Analytics & Personalized Learning (including AR/VR), education bots for knowledge management
    • HR Retention & Downsizing, e.g., predicting resignations or "toxic" roles/persons
