The Human Resource Management module (also known as Personnel Management) offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of modern personnel management. It deals with the central topics of personnel attraction (incl. recruitment), personnel development, leadership & motivation, performance appraisal, remuneration, as well as personnel planning & controlling, staff release and participation. All of these areas are reflected in their importance for the company's success. Current challenges such as digitalization, globalization, demographic and social change and how they influence HR management are also covered. After completing the module, students will be able to understand human resource management (HRM) as an essential business management function and to assess its objectives, instruments and fields of action.
